He said the open areas in the plan help the overall <br />~- density. Mr. Holloway said there would be an 8-10 foot mound around the property. <br /> Ralph Crouch the neighbor owning property north of the plat told the commission the <br /> north wall that Shae Corporation built is retaining water under his property. He said Shae <br /> dug one ditch but more was needed. Mr. Holloway told Mr. Crouch that Shae should <br /> have cut into the mounds to make drainage and he would relay that to the Shae <br /> Corporation. A motion was made by Commissio_ner Crouch, second by Commissioner <br /> Ehrhart to approve final plat approval for Sections 1 and 2. Motion carded 7-.0.. <br /> <br /> Attorney Tim Currens told the commission that Brace's CB Shop on Highway 144 was <br /> by Special Exception. Commissioner Williamson told the commission that the business <br /> was also selling nitro scooters-new, and used cars. <br /> <br /> Mr. Beikman will check to see if the used cars parked in the yard on the comer of <br /> Orchard Road and Highway 144 is grandfathered. <br /> <br /> The commission questioned the non-conforming use at 137 West Washington Street. <br /> The house was a single family home for more than a year and now has gone back to <br /> being an apartment. A letter will be sent to the owner. <br /> <br /> Building Inspector Joe Beikman reported sixteen (16) permits, and fifty-seven (57) <br /> inspections. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the commission at this time, a motion was <br /> made by Commissioner Bmner, second by Commissioner Crouch to adjourn the meeting. <br /> <br /> The next meeting of the Mooresville Plan Commission will be on Thursday,,~ugust 28, <br /> 2003 at the Mooresville Town Hall. ~h~r~~~~~ <br /> <br /> Secretary <br /> <br /> <br />
