AUG

TOWN OF MOORESVILLE
MOORESVILLE, INDIANA

ATTN: MOORESVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION

TO: WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

it is my understandin9 tl%at the property,
owners at 1275 N. Indiana St.. may bce applying for a variance
to operate a dog kennel. I would now lmke to register an
official complaint pertaining to this matter. For the last 2
years my famzly has had to endure endless hours of dogs
barking at all hours of the day and night, but worst of all
~,s ~he unbearable odor that is constant. I~ has become
impossible for my fam:i].y to enjoy any type of outdoor
activity because of these conditions. Enjoying a meal out on
our patio deck is a thing of the past. The run-off from the
dog waste is ki].ling the grass adDacent to the dog pens. It
is embarrassing uo have friends come to visit as they always
question the noise and odor. My wife has had to relaunder
clothes that she had hung on the line to dry as they have
retained the dog feces smell. The animal control officer
responded to my residence last month on the odor complaint. I
was advised that Mooresville had no ordinance perta~nmng to
odor. I then advised that I was also complaining about the
barking, we boti~ walked to the privacy fence whzch divides
the property and looked into 5he dog pen area. He counted 17
dogs that day. There were more that he couldn't see. I do
know for a fact that there is an ordinance that states that
you are not allowed to harbor more than 5 dogs. Why didn't he
do anything about that? I strongly urge you to consider this
matter. You wo~,d think chat: someone wt~o sits on the Town
Board would try ~o im?rove his image rather that blatantly
ignore the Town's ordlnance:~.

Sincerely,

Jeff Weedling
4'7 East county Line Rd.
.~ocresville, In. 46158
8'?,1 6718
,~./' ~
