Motion was made by Commissioner Abbott, second by
Commissioner Ehrhart to take steps to get the building at 39
and 39 1/2 West Main secured. Motion carried 8-0.

A discussion was held concerning the property at 126 Merriman
Road and possible violations of zoning. Building Inspector
Joe Beikman has visited numerous times and has not witnessed
any violations, but has been told by several neighbors that
the property owner has been hauling cars in, removing parts,
and hauling them back out. Motion was made by Commissioner
Abbott, second by Commissioner Raney to move this matter to
the October 24, 1996 meeting.

An update on the Buffer Zone: Attorney Peden is getting
information for Town Attorney Tim Currens on the Town of
Brooklyn's dimensions (number of square miles). Then a map
can be drawn and a decision can be made as to where a line
can be located. If overlapping occurs, State Statute
dictates what percentage goes where. There will need to be a
compromise between the two Plan Commissions of Brooklyn and
Mooresville.

Jerry Williamson appeared before the Commission to ask the
possibility of a Stop Light at Carlisle and Indiana Street.
Attorney Tim Currens stated this needed to be taken before
the Town Council.

Building Inspector report: thirty-two (32) permits and one
hundred twenty-five (125) inspections.

Motion was made by Commissioner Raney, second by Commissioner
Young to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 8-0.

The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Plan
Commission will be Thursday, October 24, 1996 at 7:30 P. M.
at the Mooresville Town Hall.

Chairman

ATTEST:

Secretary
