MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION
MINUTES
NOVEMBER 20, 1996, THURSDAY, 7:30 P.M.
MOORESVILLE TOWN HALL

The Mooresville Plan Commission met in a regular session on
Thursday, November 20, 1996 at 7:30 P. M. at the Mooresville
Town Hall.

Commission members present were Joel Beebe, Bill Abott, Mike
Young, John Ehrhart, Vern Kimmel, and Art Raney. Charles
McGuire, Tim Cummins, and Tim Bennett were absent.

Motion was made by Commissioner Raney, second by Commissioner
Kimmel to approve the minutes of the October 28, 1996
meeting. Motion carried 6-0.

Mr. Kelley - Marcia Drive off of Hadley Road - reuested
permission to build a three (3) car garage on the lot
adjoining his property. The garage is being built to house
three (3) vehicles.

Commissioner Abbott stated the Town Attorney Tim Currens had
left an Ordinance as an explanation. The town attorney feels
this garage is considered to be an accessory building.

Commissioner Abbott commented when a principal building is
put on a lot, it has to be in front of the accessory
building. Commissioner Abbott feels no action can be taken
by the Plan Commission. The Building Inspector will issue a
building permit to Mr. Kelley.

The home at 218 East South Street has been demolished. A
letter to the Plan Commission from Mr. and Mrs. Thompson was
discussed. The Thompson's were asking what Mr. Hopkins was
doing moving dirt around in the area of their housing
addition. The Plan Commission nor the Town of Mooresville
knows of any project planned for that area.

Due to the Christmas Holiday falling on the next Plan
Commission meeting, the meeting will be changed to Wednesday,
December 18, 1996 at 7:30 P. M. or following the Board of
Zoning Appeals meeting at the Mooresville Town Hall.

There being no further business to come before the Plan
Commission at this time, motion was made by Commissioner
Kimmel, second by Commissioner Raney to adjourn. Motion
carried 6-0.
