April 18, 1989 <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Board of <br />Trustees was held Tuesday, April 18, 1989 at 7:30 p.m. at <br />Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Trustees present were Pat Overholser, Steve Edwards, <br />Jack Forbes and Mike Fiscus. Trustee Heald was absent. <br /> The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as <br />submitted. <br /> <br /> Board attorney Tim Currens opened and announced the <br />following grass mowing bids for the cemetery: <br /> <br /> Dream Scape $645.00 per mowing <br /> Alternate bid for 10 acre <br /> field $190.00 per mowing. <br /> <br /> Roemer Enterprises $750.00 per mowing <br /> No Alternate bid. <br /> <br /> Greenwald Enter. $865.00 per mowing <br /> Alternate bid for 10 acre <br /> field $450.00 per mowing. <br /> <br /> C & N Orchard $775.00 per mowing <br /> Alternate bid for 10 acre <br /> field $475.00 per mowing. <br /> <br /> The board tabled awarding the contract until later <br /> in the meeting, to allow Cemetery Sexton Ed Bucker time <br /> to review the bids. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Trustee Edwards and second by Trustee <br /> Overholser to approve Ordinance #5-1989 Vacating Union Street. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Trustee Overholser and second by <br /> Trustee Edwards to approve the following Transfer of funds: <br /> <br /> $12,000.00 from GPD 1-113 Lieutenant to GPD 4-271 <br /> Building Maintenance. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Trustee Edwards and second by Trustee <br /> Forbes to sign the Traffic Engineering studies, Inc. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> <br /> Trustee Overholser announced th annual town clean-up <br /> day sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce will be held Saturday, <br /> May 6, 1989. <br /> <br /> Economic Development Director Randy Haymaker outlined <br /> to the board the possibility of financing sidewalks for the <br /> town through a Cumlative Capital Building Fund which could <br /> levy a .25¢ tax levy on the Mooresville tax rate. <br /> Motion was made by Trustee Edwards and second by Trustee <br /> Overholser to persue a Cumlative Captial Building Fund for <br /> sidewalk construction through out Mooresville. Motion carried. <br /> Cemetery Sexton Ed Bucker recommended to the board accept- <br /> ing the bid from Greenwald Enterprises for the cemetery mowing <br /> for 1989. <br /> <br /> <br />
