MOORESVILLE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br />Wednesday - October 16, 1991 <br />mooresville Town Hall - 7:00 P.M. <br /> <br /> The Board of zoning Appeals met for its regular scheduled meeting <br /> <br />on October 16, 19~1 at 7:00 P.M. at the Mooresville Town Hall with <br />members Alan Kramer, Don Barry, Vern Kimmel and Charles McGuire present. <br />Absent was member Steve Oschman. Also present was the Board's <br />attorney, Timothy C. Currens. <br /> <br /> The minutes of the September 18, 1991 meeting were reviewed and <br /> <br />a motion to accept was made by Vern Kimmel. A second was made by Charles <br /> <br />McGuire. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br /> R. J. Associates, LP came before the Board with a Special Exception <br />request to expand the Ashbury Mobile Home Park off of State Road 144. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Don Barry to grant the request for a Special Exception. <br />A second was made by Charles McGuire. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br /> Determination of the use or property owned by Doug Turner at 39 and <br />39½ West Main Street then came before the Board. Alan Kramer said at <br />the last meeting information was taken from Mr. Turner as to how he was <br />using the property and Joe Beikman and the Board discussed from this <br />information provided their interpretation. <br /> <br /> Don Barry then submitted a written definition and district for <br /> <br />zoning to the Board members for their review. Don's definition concerned <br />a guest room/sleeping room or a building not available to transients in <br />which no meals or furnishings are provided for compensation on a weekly <br />or monthly basis for at least two persons. If this is the case, then <br />Don Barry proposed that it be called an R3 residential. <br /> <br /> Vern Kimmel expressed his concern regarding the possibility of a <br /> <br /> fire at this property. Other members agreed but felt it must first be <br /> defined before anything else can be determined. The Board is to determine <br /> <br /> <br />
