Mooresville Plan Commission <br /> Minutes <br /> Thursday June 26, 2008 <br /> The Mooresville Plan Commission met in regular session on Thursday June 26, 2008 <br /> at 6:00 p.m. at the Mooresville Government Center 4 East Harrison street. <br /> Members present were, Chairman, Mike Young, Darrell Brown, Perry King, James <br /> Logan, Robert Williamson, Charles Berwick, Brian Anderson and Ann Whaley. Town <br /> Attorney Tim Currens was also present. <br /> With not having a meeting in May Chairman Young asked for a motion on the minutes <br /> from the April 27, 2008 meeting. Commissioner Williamson mentioned that his name <br /> was spelled wrong in one area of the minutes, with no other correction a motion was <br /> made by Commissioner Brown to accept the minutes the second came from <br /> Commissioner Logan, The vote to accept the minutes for April was approved by 8-0 vote. <br /> Chairman Young introduced the two new members Ann Whaley and Brian Anderson. <br /> The first item Carter Lee and Stanley Butrum, with neither party attending, Chairman <br /> Young asked Mr. Currens where we were at on the noise complaint, Mr. Currens said that <br /> the Police Dept. is mentoring the noise level and will report to him, he will report to the <br /> commission. <br /> Next was Robin Adams asking for a Minor Plat at 1 1085 N. Cooney Road. John Drapalik <br /> of Drapalik Surveying& Engineering came before the Commission to explain the minor <br /> plat, he handed out a document explaining the minor plat, showing the proposed lot 1 <br /> with 7 and one half acres and the septic field and the existing home and lot 2 with 19.3 <br /> acres and the septic field. Mr. Drapalik said that there is only a 25 feet frontage on <br /> Cooney Road which is against the Mooresville ordinance, but it was necessary for the <br /> septic fields. Chairman Young asked for comments or questions from the Commission, <br /> he also asked Joe Beikman for any comments, he said that they need a recorded <br /> easements for the septic field, Mr. Drapalik said that they could certainly add the <br /> easements to the plat. At this time Chairman Young asked for comments from the <br /> audience, Darrell Johns of 1190 North Cooney Road came before the Commission to <br /> express his concerns about rezoning the property in question, Mr. Currens told Mr. Johns <br /> that this is a request for a minor plat not a rezone. Commissioner Williamson asked the <br /> kennel owner Roger Harvey if there was a grooming business on the property, Mr. <br /> Harvey said that they do give baths. Commissioner Williamson also asked about the <br /> septic system, Mr. Harvey said that the State made them put in 35,000 gallon system and <br /> the whole front is septic field. Mr. Currens ask if they had a statement of approval from <br /> the Board of Health, for the septic sights. He said that they would add it to the plat as <br /> • well a note saying that the Minor Plat would not increase the drainage. Commissioner <br /> Williamson brought up the smell, of the kennel.
