Mr. Holloway said that to his <br /> knowledge at this time. With no further discussion a motion was made by Commissioner <br /> Brown and seconded by Commissioner Logan,the motion carried 7-0 with none opposed. <br /> Monty Russell from Village Condominiums proposing a set back change. They want to <br /> build with a third bay for the garages. Mr. Currens said that he would need to look at just <br /> what they need do. <br /> Town Attorney Tim Currens asked for a general approval of an amendment to the <br /> Mooresville Redevelopment plan for purchase property from a willing seller, assistance <br /> with street scaping and assistance with the new firehouse. The will be no additional land <br /> purchased. A motion to approval was from Commissioner Ehrhart, seconded by <br /> Commissioner Berwick the motion carried 7-0 with none opposed. <br /> Mr. Currens also spoke about the grant from the 169 project for the corridor from St Rd <br /> 37 into Mooresville on 144. A firm has been contracted for a master plan for this <br /> corridor, he has met with them and told them that we also have plans for substantial. <br /> changes in our ordinance as it exist, they did not feel that it would an issue. They will <br /> zero in on what the best and highest use of the land will be. Martinsville and the County <br /> have also looked into them doing a master land use plan. There are moneys to cover some <br /> of the cost but not all, that is something that is coming up before the town council. Mr. <br /> Currens said that he felt like the commissions views and opinions are relevant. A motion <br /> that Planning Commission is supportive of the concept to the Town Council was made by <br /> Commissioner Logan, the second was from Commissioner Brown,motion carried <br /> 7-0 with none opposed. <br /> A report by Joe Beikman was 17 permits and 59 inspections. <br /> Commissioner Brown speaking as Mooresville Fire Inspector, stated that with the <br /> constant changes in business in town that it is difficult to know who is in the buildings <br /> what kind of business is there at any time they can change at any time. When he goes into <br /> inspect he is finding some minor things and some are major. At this time there are no <br /> business licenses or reporting in Mooresville. Tim Currens, Joe Beikman and Darrell <br /> Brown will get together and find way to correct this problem. <br /> With no further business a motion was made by Commissioner Berwick and seconded by <br /> Commissioner Ehrhart, the motion carried 6-0 with none opposed. <br /> The Next meeting of the Mooresville Planning Commission will be May 22, 2008 at the <br /> Mooresville government Center. <br />
