t7F.R <br />A motion to approve Resolution 13-2008, a confirmatory resolution for a three year tax <br />abatement on equipment for Alternative Machining, Inc. was made by Councilman Clark, second <br />by Councilman Goodwin and carried 5-0. <br />The next item was the public hearing for a confirmatory resolution for Overton and Sans for a <br />three year abatement on equipment costing $1$8,625, with a tax savings of $2,819.53. <br />A motion to approve Resolution 14, 2008, a confirmatory resolution for a three year tax <br />abatement on equipment for Overton and Sons was made by Councilman Goodwin and second <br />by Councilman Clazk. Motion carried 5-0. <br />Next, Police Chief, Tim Viles asked the Council to approve an duty injury pay for Officer Dan <br />Whitley who was injured in the line of duty back in July and has recently undergone surgery. <br />The details were discussed in the executive session. <br />A motion to grant on duty injury pay to Officer Whitley under the Town's On Duty Injury <br />Resolution, was made by Councilman Clark and second by Councilman Cook. Motion carried 5- <br />0. <br />Councilman Cook reported on behalf of Fire Chief, Les Farmer that the new fire station is <br />running on schedule and moving along. <br />President, Mark Harris stated that the Town Hall is currently experiencing a problem with a <br />sewer gas smell and David Moore and Joe Beikman have been trying to find the source of the <br />problem. David has contacted Serv Pro to assist them. President Harris stated that he would <br />consider this an emergency situation that needs to be taken care of <br />Animal Control Officer, Mark Taylor, reported 27 calls, 7 impounds and 5 returns. <br />Attorney Tim Currens presented the written form of Resolution 12-2008 for approval, which was <br />passed at the last meeting. The Council had been given a chance to review the resolution, which <br />pertains to the Ambulance Service for the Town ofMooresville. <br />There being no questions from the Council on the written Ordinance 12-2008, a motion to <br />approve it was made by Councilman Cook, with a second by Councilman Clark. Motion carried <br />3-2 with Councilmen Langley and Goodwin opposed. <br />Attorney Tim Currens stated that the Town had a request from Village Condominiums to <br />approve the updated bill of $10,500 on the agreement with INDOT for a reimbursement for <br />improvements that were paid for by Village Condominiums. INDOT will reimburse the Town <br />and the Town will reimburse Village Condominiums. <br />A motion to accept the agreement with INDOT for, reimbursement to Village Condominiums in <br />the amount of $10,500 was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Caak. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />A motion to approve the payment of claims was made by Councilman Clark, second by <br />Councilman Goodwin and carried S-0. <br />There being no further business to come before the Council at this time, a motion to adjourn was <br />made by Councilman Cook, second by Councilman Langley and carried S-0. <br />The next meeting of the Mooresville Tawn Council will be held an Tuesday, December 2, 2008 <br />at the Mooresville Government Center, beginning at 6:30 p.m. <br />H ,Council President <br />ATTEST: - , <br />," , <br />~~ <br />1 <br />Sandra R.
