Perry, Clerk-Treasurer'• <br />November l8, 2008 <br />Pr silent, Harris <br />November 1 S, 2008 <br />The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 6:30 <br />p.m. at the Mooresville Government Center. <br />Council members present were: President, Mark Harris and Councilmen Jeff Caak, John L. <br />Clark, Anthony Langley and Ryan Goodwin. Town Attarney, Tim Currens was present. <br />Jeff Newton of Free Methodist Church opened the meeting with prayer. <br />A motion to approve the minutes of the November 4, 2008 meeting was made by Councilman <br />Clark and second by Councilman Goodwin. Motion carried 5-0. <br />The first item on the agenda was the additional appropriation for the Police Department in the <br />amount of $17,300, which is revenue from police cars that were sold at auction. 'The money <br />would go into the Police Department's vehicle lease budget line item. <br />A motion to approve Ordinance 12-2008, additional appropriation in the amount of $17,300 to <br />the police vehicle lease line item was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman <br />Langley and carried S-0. <br />The next item on the agenda was GG Food Services, requesting use of the Lions Den to cater <br />private parties. Beverly Poole, owner of GG Food Services was present. She is looking for a <br />place to hold private gatherings that she caters and is interested in renting the Lion's Den. She <br />prepares the food at her home in her garage. She does not know how often she would need a <br />place. Councilman Clark stated that she needed to speak to someone with the Lion's flub <br />because the equipment all belongs to them. Attorney, Tim Currens stated that the Town has a <br />lease with the Lion's Club that he would need to review, along with insurance issues. <br />Councilman Goodwin asked if the client would be renting the space, or Ms. Foole and she stated <br />thht she would be. Tim Currens stated that he should have some information by the next meeting <br />so Ms. Poole will come to the first meeting in December: <br />Next on the agenda was the public hearing for a confirmatory resolution for Alternative <br />Machining, Inc. John Taylor, of Morgan County EDC was present and stated that Alternative <br />Machining had qualified for a three year tax abatement an a piece of equipment valued at <br />$528,250,: with a tax savings over the three years of $7, 896.19. Representatives from <br />Alternative Machining were present to explain how the machine works and showed the Council <br />examples of components that are produced by this machine. They have been in business since <br />March of this year and currently have three employees. They are located an Hancel Parkway in <br />Flagstaff Business Park: <br />8~? <br />
