~~ <br />A motion was made by Councilman Bryant with a second by Councilman Clark to <br />appoint Charles Berwick as an employee on the Police Commission to serve on the Plan <br />Commission. Motion carried 5-0. <br />Legal: Attorney Tim Currens told the council he had been negotiating with Nextel on the <br />tower they want to install at the Old Town Park close to the alley and by the Salt Barn. <br />The last communication the Town wanted to increase the rent from $650 to $750 per <br />month, something built in for a percentage increase at the end of each five-year option, <br />they would remove any structures at termination, and that we could have use of the tower <br />ourselves for either wireless connection or 911, so long as it doesn't interfere with their <br />use. This agreement is still subject to their approval. A motion was made by <br />Councilman Shields with a second by Councilman Clark to submit the agreement subject <br />to the above changes. Motion carried 5-0. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Dolen to <br />approve Ordinance #7, 2005, for de-annexation of Collins property. Motion carried 5-0. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Shields with a second by Councilman Dolen to <br />approve Resolution #1, 2005, Declaratory Resolution for aten-year tax abatement on real <br />and personal property for PACMoore. Motion carried 5-0. <br />Council President Worthen reported to the Council HNTB had sent drawings for WWTP <br />expansion to 1DEM far approval. <br />Azumal Control Officer Mark Taylor reported twenty (20) calls, ten (10) impounds, and <br />six (6) returns. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Shields to <br />approve payment of the claims. Motion carried 5-0. <br />There being no further business to come before the Mooresville Town Council at this. <br />time a motion was made by Councilman Dolen with a second by Councilman Clark to <br />adjourn the meeting. M. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br />Terry Crist, Mt. Gilead Church, gave the prayer. <br />Town Council members present were: President Tom Worthen, Troy Bryant, John L. <br />Clark, Toby Dolen, and Eric Shields. No members were absent. Town attorney Tim <br />Currens was also present. <br />A motion was made by Councilriian Clark with a second from Councilman Shields to <br />approve the minutes of March 15, 2005. Motion carried 5-0. <br />
