Legal: Tim Currens told the council they needed two appointments for the Common <br />Wage Board for the sewer expansion project. One appointment has to represent labor <br />and one to represent a taxpayer of Mooresville. A motion was made by Councilman <br />Dolen with a second by Councilman Clark to appoint Greg Swinney and Jim Ransom to <br />the Common Wage Board far the sewer expansion project. Motion carried 5-0. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Shields to <br />approve Resolution #3, 2005 to add a 300 category line item to the Park budget to put <br />revenue in and to pay expenses from far their programs. Nlation carried 5-0. <br />Council President Worthen told the council that every year we have maintenance done on <br />the warning alarms from a company called Federal Field Services LLC. They run a <br />computer test and a siren test. The cost is $350 per site. They aze offering a plan for <br />battery replacement. The expected life of a battery is 4 to 6 years and the batteries cast <br />approximately $100 each. The total in the agreement is $450 per year per site and at the <br />end of the fourth year they will replace the batteries automatically. A motion was made <br />by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Dolen to enter into the agreement <br />with Federal Field Services, LLC. Motion carried 5-0. <br />Joe Beikman, Street Superintendent, told the council that right now the speed limit signs <br />say 20 mph when children are present from Main Street to Williams Drive on North <br />Indiana Street and asked if they wanted to change this to say 6AM to 6PM Monday thru <br />Friday and do we want to go all the way to the county line. The council will contemplate <br />this until the next meeting an 4-19-05 and also talk about the truck routes under <br />unfinished business. <br />Joe Beikman also told the council he had one quote fora 13,000 square foot shell <br />addition to the salt barn. This addition is to keep equipment inside and to put in a wash <br />bay. The quote was for $139,000. He will try to get two more quotes. Mr. Beikman said <br />he needed a set of prints that will probably cost between 4 and 5,000 dollars. <br />Council President Tom Worthen announced the Wastewater Treatment Plant expansion <br />bids would go out next week. <br />Council President Worthen wants to see if the light at the Park entrance could go on the <br />east side. This item will be on the April 19, 2005 agenda. <br />Animal Control Officer, Mark Taylor, reported thirty (30) calls, ten (10) impounds, and <br />two (2) returned. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Shields with a second by Councilman Clark to <br />approve payment of the claims. Motion carried 5-0. <br />There being no further business to come before the council at this time a motion was <br />made by Councilman Dolen with a second by Councilman Clark to adjourn the meeting. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be on <br />Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at 6:30 P.
