)~~ <br />Councilman Bryant brought up the parking ordinances and their enforcement. He said <br />we have Ordinance ~ -1965, Ordinance 22-1992, and Ordinance 5-1997. Councilman <br />Bryant wanted to see if these could be enforced. He said in his conversation with Tim <br />Vile.S, Police Chief, that Mr. Viles said he would appreciate being able to enforce because <br />the residents were calling him about semi-trucks being parked on the streets. <br />Councilman <br />Bryant said he had gotten parking ordinances from other towns and they were more strict. <br />Councilman Worthen said he would like to sit down with Councilman Bryant and see the <br />other town ordinances before the next meeting on April 15, 2003. Joe Beikman, Street <br />Superintendent, told the council that on the truck ordinances they needed to specify a <br />certain weight and they need to say `delared weight' because that weight is on the tag. <br />Animal Control Officer, Mark Taylor, reported for the last meeting, March 18, 2003, <br />sixteen (16) calls; six (6) impounds, and three (3) returned. For this meeting he reported <br />twenty five (25) calls, ten (10) impounds, and eight ($) returned. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Mathis, second by Councilman Clark to approve <br />payment of the claims. Motion carried unanimously. <br />There being no further business to come before the council at this time, a motion was <br />made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Bryant to adjourn the meeting. <br />The next meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be on Tuesday, April 15, 2003, <br />at 6:30 PM at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br />Firesident, Toby Dolen <br />ATTEST: <br />ands R. Perry, Clerk-Treasurer <br />April 15, 2003 <br />The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session on Tuesday, April 15, 2003, at <br />6:30 PM at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br />Council members present were: President Toby Dolen, Tom Worthen, John L. Clark, <br />Troy Bryant, and Mark Mathis. No members were absent. Town attorney Tim Currens <br />was present. Keith Koteskey from the Community Church of Mooresville gave the <br />invocation. <br />Motion was made by Councilman, Clark, second by Councilman Mathis to approve the <br />minutes of the April 1, 2003 meeting. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Stan Emerson from the Unity Club of Mooresville High School presented a request to <br />__ -conduct a mock car crash on Mayf; rain date' May.7;.2003_ at 1:00 F:M. on Carlisle <br />Street west of North Indiana Street. Mr. Emerson said the police and fire, Brown <br />Township Ambulance, Lifeline from Methodist Hospital, and Sam Carlisle from Carlisle <br />& Son would be present. They would need to block off the street at Noon for 2 ~7 hours. <br />The two cars in the crash are from Allen's Body Shop and 1,250 students will witness the <br />crash. The High School Prom will be held the following Saturday. A motion was made <br />by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Bryant to approve the closing of the street <br />and for the mock car crash. There were no <br />comments or questions from the audience. Motion was made by Councilman Clark, <br />second by Councilman Worthen to approve Findings of Fact. Motion carried 5-0. <br />
