A motion was made by Councilman Clark to approve a closing Main Street from Franklin <br /> Street to Washington Street for the American Legion on May 28th from 8 A. M. to 2 P. <br /> M. for the displaying the Patriot flag and a festival. Motion was seconded by <br /> Councilman Cook. Motion carried 4-0. The Patriot flag is flying in fifty states in fifty <br /> weeks and Mooresville was picked as the first town to fly the flag in Indiana. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Mathis with a second by Councilman Cook to accept <br /> Turf Tamer's quote as the lowest quote submitted by $75.00 per cut for a two year <br /> contract. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> A motion was made to approve and adopt the Town Personnel Policy manual by <br /> Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Cook. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> The last adoption of a personnel policy was 1984. <br /> In other business the Town Council voted 4-0 to receive and accept two <br /> disclosure/conflict of interest statements for Councilman Tony Langley. One was for <br /> Country Orchard Store in which he has 25% owners]-lip. And the other for Mt. Olive and <br /> Olive Oak where he has an interest in the holding company that owns the property. <br /> Legal: Counsel President Watkins explained that at the last meeting a discussion on real <br /> property for Equipment Technologies was left out. Councilman Mark Mathis left the <br /> room before a motion and vote was taken. A motion was made by Councilman Clark <br /> with a second by Councilman Cook to approve Declaratory Resolution#7, 2011 for an <br /> abatement on real property for Equipment Technologies. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> Morgan County Economic Director, Joy Sessing,presented an SB-1 for a tax abatement <br /> on real property for Cornerstone MOB, LLC. They are building a 15,200 square foot <br /> medical facility staffed by nine doctors and Techs/RNs, LPNs, and Lab Techs. They are <br /> adding 10 new jobs and retaining 17 from where they are currently located. This will be <br /> in the Meadowlakes Complex. A motion to approve Declaratory Resolution#8, for a tax <br /> abatement for Cornerstone MOB, LLC was made by Councilman Clark with a second by <br /> Councilman Cook. Motion carried 4-0. A Public Hearing will be set for May 3rd, 2011 <br /> meeting. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Mathis with a second by Councilman Clark to <br /> approve pay request#6 in the amount of$732,738.60 to Wilhelm Construction. Motion <br /> carried 4-0. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Mathis with a second by Councilman Cook to <br /> approve payment of claims. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> There being no further business to come before the council at this time a motion was <br /> made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Mathis to adjourn the meeting. <br /> Motion carried 4-0. <br /> The next regular scheduled town council meeting will be Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at 6:30 <br /> P. M., at the Mooresville Govenunent Center.
