Council President Watkins announced the personnel manual had undergone a minor <br /> modification and may be ready for the next meeting. <br /> Joe Beikman, Street Superintendent,had looked into lights for Samuel Moore Parkway <br /> and presented a proposal of cost. Installation of lights would cost of$1,750 and monthly <br /> cost on electric bill of$1,200. <br /> Next,the council opened three cemetery mowing quotes. <br /> Starnes—mow and trim at the main cemetery-$525.00 per occurrence and <br /> $85.00 at the old cemetery- $85.00 <br /> Turf Tamers—mow and trim at main and old cemetery $450.00 per cut <br /> and to bush hog along the creek$100.00 per occurance <br /> Tri County—mow and trim at the main and old cemetery$880 per cut and <br /> bush hog along creek$180 per cut. <br /> The council will take quotes under advisement. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Cook to approve <br /> the 2011 capital improvement plan. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> I <br /> Council President Watkins informed the council the police department had a contract for <br /> a lease for a copier. The lease is for sixty months. A motion was made by Councilman <br /> Clark with a second by Councilman Cook for Council President Watkins to sign the <br /> contract. <br /> Councilman Langley wanted to thank residents from Mooresville,Monrovia, and <br /> Martinsville for donating dog and cat food to the Humane Society. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Langley with a second by Councilman Clark to <br /> approve payment of the claims. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> There being no fiu ther business to come before the council at this time a motion was <br /> made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Langley to adjourn the <br /> meeting. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be on <br /> Tuesday,May 3, 2011, at 6:30 P.
