Clerk-Treasurer, Sandy Perry,requested the approval to pay F.A. Wilhelm pay request 5 <br /> and 5A. Request 5 was for$439,532.41 and 5A for$65,484.00. This is for wastewater <br /> expansion. A motion was made by Councilman Langley with a second by Councilman <br /> Clark to approve payment. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> Cemetery quotes: The council invited quotes to mow the cemetery this year. They <br /> received two and their motion previously was to receive a minimum of three quotes. The <br /> two received were from Turf Tamers and Tri-County. Councilman Cook said that <br /> Starnes Lawn mowing called him and asked when their information had to be at the <br /> meeting, They did not receive their packet. Attorney Currens checked his list and they <br /> were sent one and the packet had not been returned because of an incorrect address. But <br /> he will check the addresses to verify them and no quotes will be opened until April 5th <br /> meeting. <br /> Council President Watkins stated Pioneer Park wants public opinion on a survey for their <br /> five year plan. The survey is on line at www.mooresville.org./park. <br /> Legal: Attorney Curren had two declaratory resolutions for Equipment Technologies. <br /> One is on the existing location on Hansel Parkway. The finding is an economic <br /> revitalization area. A motion to approve Declaratory Resolution 3, 2011 for Equipment <br /> Technologies at their existing location on Hansel Parkway was made by Councilman <br /> Clark with a second by Councilman Langley. Motion carried 4-0. Another motion was <br /> made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Cook to approve Declaratory <br /> Resolution 4, 2011, for Equipment Technologies at the 110 acres of Brooknik Farms with <br /> the finding of an economic revitalization area. Motion carried 4-0. The Confirmatory <br /> Resolutions Public Hearing will be on April 5, 2011. <br /> Joy Sessing,Morgan County Economic Development Corporation,reported they have <br /> been working with Ivy Tech School on their inquiry for a learning center in Morgan <br /> County. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Langley to <br /> approve payment of claims. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> Jeff Scalf asked if he should speak to Attorney Currens concerning annexation first <br /> before bringing it up at a meeting. Attorney Currens answered, "Yes". <br /> Virginia Perry asked if the council knew who the realtor was for the property involved in <br /> Project Red Bird. Council President Watkins answered the realtor was Mathis Real <br /> Estate. Attorney Currens said he is a council member but he has abstained from any <br /> voting. Virginia Perry said, "He does stand to gain from the sale of this property." <br /> Attorney Currens said he was not a party to that, Mark Mathis has abstained from any <br /> vote or action taken. He has not had a part in them. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Town Council at this time a motion <br /> was made by Councilman Langley with a second by Councilman Clark to adjourn the <br /> meeting. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be Tuesday, <br /> April 5, 2011, at 6:30 P.
