would you want to isolate some of these things. Mr. Barry said a B-3 in the minimum
for a shopping center and that is some of the questions that to Board needed to address.
Motion to allow a shooting range in 1-1, I-2 and B-3 with Special Exception, was made
by Alan Kramer, second by Jon Swisher. Motion carried 3-0.
Next on the agenda was Cheryl Russell Miller, 176 E. Carlisle Street, asking for a
variance to run a pet styling salon in her home. Ms.Miller stated there was a hair styling
salon across the street from her home. They have an insulated shed or garage on the
property that she will use for her styling business. She has been in business on South
Street for two year and has not had any complaints from her neighbors_ All the shampoos
she uses are all natural and biodegradable; she does not allow overnight boarders,
everyone comes and leaves, all the pets stay indoors and she has no more than five
clients, with possibility of seven pets. None of her clients stay, they drop off their pets
and leave, so there is not a parking problem. Her salon closes at 5:00 P.M.and there is a
late fee if the pets are left longer. The purpose of the styling salon is to form a better
partnership between pet owners and vets to have beautiful and healthy pets. All styling is
by appointment only and all pets are brought in on a leash.
Ms. Patti Overton, 156 E Carlisle Street, lives across the street and is a client of Ms.
Miller, said she had no objections to the Pet Styling Salon.
Jon Swisher, second by Alan Kramer, made a motion to allow the variance to Ms. Cheryl
Russell Miller to operate a Pet Styling Salon at 176 E. Carlisle Street, Mooresville, IN.
Motion carried 3-0.
The next meeting of the Board of Zoning Appeals will be held on Thursday, December
13, 2001 at 7:00 P.M.
There being no further business to come before Jon Swisher, second by Alan Kramer,
made a motion to adjourn.
Don Barry, President
ATTEST:
"IZ14-4-
Mike Young, Sec tary
