Mr. Ehrhart from the Mooresville Plan Commission said from his perspective and
other members of the Plan Commission they do not feel this is the best use for that
property.
Mr. Holloway stated he wanted to be sure the Board understands that the existing
use can continue. This means that the storage buildings and the apartments can
still continue with repairs to make them habitable. What they want to do is
demolish the old building and build a new building which will be more suitable for
the neighborhood.
Mr. Taylor said he had talked with the person who is working on this project and
he told him they are planning to turn this project over to Mr. McGuire when they
have finished remodeling.
Mr. Holloway said he could appreciate everyone's concern, so he said rather than
withdraw the variance he asked for a vote to approve or deny.
After reading the Facts-Of-Findings Mr. Swisher asked for a motion to approve or
deny the variance of use. A motion was made by Mr. Barry, second by Mr.
Young to deny the variance of use from I-2 to R-3 for C. Patton at 330 Bolton
Avenue. Motion carried 4-0.
There being no further business to come before the Board of Zoning Appeals a
motion was made by Mr. Barry, second by Mr. Kramer, to adjourn. Motion
carried 4-0.
The next meeting of the Board of Zoning Ameals will be beJd on Thursday, March
10, 2005, at 6:00 P.
