Bill Crawford <br /> from American Solar said even though it is not required to do the green escaping the will <br /> be putting $70,000.00 into the project. Sandy Miller from 6623 E Rosebud <br /> Lane came before the board she asked how far the panels from the ground are and are <br /> they on a stand. The answers to her questions were they are on a stand that is 24 inches <br /> from the ground,they are also engineered to with stand 100 mile winds and golf ball hail. <br /> Ms. Miller also asked about maintance if weeds grow etc. and flooding, again Mr. <br /> Crawford assured her that any weeds would be taken care and there should not be any <br /> flooding. Clay Jones 1150 E. Greencastle Rd. came forward, he said that the project is <br /> much larger then he thought it would be,he is concerned what this would mean to the <br /> value of his family property. He also asked if the project goes belly up would it just sit <br /> there. Mr. Crawford said that it would be cleaned up. Mr. Jones was assured that the <br /> project will be fully funded before it is started. (at this point the recorder did not pick up a <br /> lot of conversation,the people were not infront Mrs. Whaley asked if they were sure that <br /> IP&L would be willing to buy this energy, .Mr. Crawford said that IP&L has approval <br /> from the from the utility commission and IP&L would need to approve also before <br /> anything is started. This would mean before nothing would go until the approval from <br /> IP&I- Dan Robinson 2079 E S. R. 42 had a few questions one being the height of the <br /> units,Mr. Crawford said that they will be 7 to 71/2 high and 6-8 feet apart Also he ask <br /> what would be the value of the project? Mr. Crawford said it will be between 20-24 <br /> million dollars. It was also said that the Jessup property would not decrease but could <br /> even increase in value. Ile also said that the equipment will be taxed. With no any further <br /> questions the Facts of Findings and Special Exception facts were read. Ann Whaley <br /> asked Mr. Peden if they were going to have a drainage plan for the Plan Commission. Mr. <br /> Allman asked about access roads,the answer was that the exciting roads would be used. <br /> Alan Kramer motioned to approve the special exception based on the landscaping plan <br /> being followed and no herbicide being used for vegetation control, the motion was <br /> seconded by Ann Whaley the vote was 3-0 with none opposed in favor of the Special <br /> Exception. <br /> With no other business at this time, the meeting was adjourned. <br /> The next meeting is scheduled for May 12, 2011 <br /> �l <br /> hairman <br /> Sectretary <br />
