• McGuire said he would like to see the same exterior on the out building as the dwelling.
Mr. Holloway spoke to Mr. Roberts and it was decided that this would be put in the
Covenants and Restrictions. With no other discussion Commissioner McGuire moved to
approve the amendment to the approved PUD with the note that the exterior of the {out
building, garage and or accessory building} be of the same as the dwelling. The second
was made by Commissioner Ehrhart, motion carried 5-0 with none opposed.
The next items were Rick and. Susan Wix asking for a rezone from Ag. to I-1 to build
storage units at 5941 E N County Line Road and William Wix, 3974 Slide Off Road, also
requesting a rezone from Ag. To I-lfor storage units. The Wix showed the commission a
drawing of what they are planning to build and where. Mr. Ehrhart said that the
Comprehensive Plan has low density residential housing for this area, and this would not
fit. Some asked where the entrance would be, it was said that it would be County Line
Road. At this time Clifford Scott Edmond of 13733 North Western Road, said that this
property is at the back of his property and he has a 50 ft access easement to on his
property. Nancy Price 13672 North Western Road said that it runs along the side of her
property and she is against it. Commissioner Ehrhart asked Ms. Price how far it would be
from her property line she said 150 to 200 feet. Patty Davis a Heartland Crossing
resident said that she sees a need for these units to assist Heartland Crossing residents in
storing boats etc. Alvin Golden 5887 N Co Line Road asked to have Rick Wix explain
the diagram to him. Commissioner McGuire said that since the Comprehensive Plan calls
for low dentistry housing he motioned to deny the rezone, a second was made the vote
was 5-0 to deny the rezone. Commissioner McGuire also motioned to deny the William
Wix rezone there was a second and the motion carried.
Holloway for Jeff Jones Rezone from Ag. & B-3 to a PUD-C for commercial use. Mr.
Holloway explained the project and the configuration. There was a lot of discussion on
traffic and.INDOT improvements. Town Center Road would be expanded to fit this
project. The biggest concern was not to create another Bridge Street problem. After some
discussion of what would be planned for the PUD-C and size of lots, Mr. Holloway
explained that at this time lot sizes have not been decided, it would be decided for need
and the usage discussed were offices and small shops. Brian Turley of 13342 N. Allison
Dr. came before the commission,to express his concern about traffic. Mr. Turley said
that he feels that people will use the access road to cut through to Bridge Street. He asked
the commission to give this good consideration. After much discussion about what
could be done with the access road, the traffic that it would create, what INDOT would
require, and not wanting to have another Bridge Street. Mr. Holloway asked for a
continuance for a month to allow them to talk to INDOT, get highway plans, find out the
schedule for improvements and talk to them about any traffic study that might be able to
be amended. A motion was by Commissioner Logan the second came from
Commissioner Berwick the vote was 5-0 to continue this PUD-C until the June meeting.
The next thing was Ross Holloway for Jackson {Meadow Lake} amendment to Meadow
Lake on an approved PUD. Mr. Holloway explained that the market for the
condominiums has not been what was expected but the need for more assisted living units
has increased. This change would also allow for expansion of the nursing home. Mr.,
t Ly V AiryTf ,:" „)(. q, 5 . del'. 'lk n .,• dYUelx, kp
 v+ 5 w a .'+ ..
