o <br /> MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION <br /> JULY 23 2009 <br /> MINUTES <br /> The Mooresville Plan Commission met in regular session Thursday July 23, 2009 at 6:00 <br /> P.M.,the meeting was held at the Mooresville Government Center. <br /> Members of the Commission present were, Chairman Mike Young, Darrell Brown, <br /> Charles Berwick, Jeff Dieterlen and Ann Whaley. Brian Anderson was absent. Town <br /> attorney Tim Currens was also present. <br /> The meeting was called to at 6:00 P.M., at this time Chairman Young asked for question <br /> or corrections on the July 23 meeting. With questions or corrections a motion was made <br /> by Commissioner Whaley seconded by Commissioner Dieterlen to accept the minutes as <br /> written, the motion carried 6-0 with none opposed. <br /> At this time Chairman Young announced that the Public Hearing on the Comprehensive <br /> Plan for the St. Rd. 67 and St. Rd. 144 Corridor Plan would be moved up to start the <br /> meeting. At this time Erin Shane with SDG explained that several planning meetings <br /> have been held to get input on this plan. People from this area as well as some setting on <br /> this Commission. Also people from Martinsville and Morgan Co. Goals were set for <br /> future use plan. At this time Cory Whitesell also with SDG, He said that 169 would <br /> probably not be funded until sometime after 2015 according INDOT. He mentioned <br /> several things that are important to the community, such as good placements of exits, <br /> green space, image and land use. Mr. Whitesell said that it important that St. Rd. 144 <br /> should have access to 169, and that seems to be in all the plans,he also said that maybe <br /> small scale commercial would be approaches but 144 is really a residential corridor. He <br /> also said that it is important to not having to many highway cuts on 144. Most of <br /> Industrial growth would to the West of Mooresville. After more information a motion <br /> was made by Commission Brown, second by Commissioner Berwick to recommend this <br /> Plan to the Town Council. The motion carried 6-0 with none opposed. (There will be <br /> information in more detail and a good map at the Clerks office in late September) <br /> Discussion on the any action that should taken on the zoning issue at 2315 Crosby Road. <br /> Joe Beikman said that he has been to the property in question and also has a business card <br /> and believes that yes a business is being run on the property. A motion to send a cease <br /> and desist letter to the property owner was made by Commissioner Whaley with a second <br /> by Commission Brown, motion carried 6-0 with none opposed. <br />
