Town attorney Tim Currens
was also present.
The meeting was called to order at 6 p.m. There was one correction
made to the Jan. 27 minutes. Member Perry King' s name was
omitted from the minutes. He was present for the January meeting.
Perry King made a motion to accept the minutes as corrected. Brian
Anderson seconded the motion and it was passed 8-0.
The first item before the board was to rezone 12540 N. Keen Drive.
The petition was made by Carl Vonessen. Mr. Vonessen said he
would like to operate a small engine/lawn mower repair shop. He
would like to start building his business now so when he retires he
can be kept busy making repairs.
The property had been a non-conforming use when it was set up as
a transmission shop. Mr. Vonessen was told by town attorney Tim
Currens and public works superintendent Joe Beikman that he
needed to ask for a variance not a re-zone.
b Parker of 6222 Hadley road asked if there would be any outside
orage at the business and wanted to make it clear that he didn't
want it to have a "bunch of junk" piled up.
Mr. Vonessen was told he needed to go the Board of Zoning
Appeals and ask for a variance.
1
