MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION <br /> 0 APRIL 28, 2011 <br /> Minutes <br /> The Mooresville Plan Commission met in regular session Thursday, April 28, 2011, at 6 <br /> p.m. The meeting was held at the Mooresville Government Center. Members of the <br /> commission present were: Chairman Mike Young, Bill Colbert, Darrell Brown, Charles <br /> Berwick, Perry King, Ann Whaley, Jeff Dieterlen, and Bev Viles. Town attorney Tim <br /> Currens was also present. The meeting was called to order at 6 p.m. <br /> The minutes from the March meeting were approved as submitted. Member Bev Viles <br /> made a motion to accept he minutes as submitted. Member Bill Colbert seconded the <br /> motion and it passed 8-0. <br /> The first item before the commission was a return of a minor plan on Monroe Street. <br /> Ross Holloway of Holloway Associates brought the matter before the commission. The <br /> issue had been before the commission on previous occasions. The last question on the <br /> plan was about the sewer lateral. Holloway said that if in the future a new lateral would <br /> be needed it would fall onto each individual owner to pay for the construction. Member <br /> Bev Viles made a motion to approve the minor plan. Member Bill Colbert seconded the <br /> motion and it was proved 8-0. <br /> John Drapalik of Drapalik Survey and Engineering represented the Saucerman family on <br /> a minor plat. The property had originally be a one lot subdivision under the ownership of <br /> George Saucennan. Since his passing, his son(Larry Saucerman) would like to split the <br /> lot and add another dwelling on the property. The original property was seven acres. The <br /> proposed subdivision of the property would create one four-acre lot and one 2.8 or thee <br /> acre lot. Adjoining property owner Monte Kivet of 4794 E. Allison Road asked if the <br /> dedicated road that runs on east side to he north would be off the easement. He just <br /> wanted clarification. Member Darrell Brown made a motion to approve the minor plat. <br /> Ann Whaley seconded the motion and it passed 8-0. <br /> Ross Holloway then brought an amendment of the PUD Cornerstone on North Samuel <br /> Moore Parkway before the commission. Members had seen the plan in a tech review <br /> meeting. Member Darrell Brown asked about adding another fire hydrant. Holloway said <br /> there was no reason why they could not add the hydrant. Brown said he would just like to <br /> see a hydrant at each entrance. First the commission needed a motion to approve the <br /> creation of lots one and two. Member Bill Colbert made a motion to create the lots. <br /> Member Darrell Brown seconded the motion and it was passed 8-0. The second part was <br /> to approve the site plan. They made one stipulation that they add a fire hydrant on the <br /> west side of the east drive. Member Bev Viles made a motion to approve the site plan. <br /> Member Charles Berwick seconded the motion and it was passed 8-0. <br /> The next item on the agenda was to hear about a solar farm proposed to go on the Jessup <br /> property. Mark Peden of American Solar explained the concept of the solar farm to the <br /> commission. It is to be built on 64 acres of property owned by Dale and Matilda Jessup <br />
