Members of the commission present <br /> were: <br /> Perry King, Darrell Brown, Charles Berwick, Jeff Dieterlen, Ann Whaley, Brian Anderson, <br /> and Bill Colbert. Town attorney Tim Currens was also present. Commission chairman Mike <br /> Young and Bev Viles were absent. <br /> The meeting was called to order at 6 p.m. Darrell Brown made a motion to approve the May <br /> minutes. Charles Berwick seconded the motion and it passed 7-0. <br /> The first item on the agenda was a request to rezone four parcels from agriculture to PUD <br /> for the Franciscan Alliance, Inc. Joe Calderon explained to the commission that this <br /> .tion was to clean up some rezoning on the hospital' s property. He pointed out that the <br /> wn's comprehensive plan has the area planned out for institutional use. Member Jeff <br /> Dieterlen asked if there are plans for the area. Dan Young, director of facilities for the <br /> Franciscan Alliance, said there are no plans as of now for the property, but that this was <br /> just to clean up the zoning in the area for the future. Property owner Ed Loomis, 670 <br /> Johnson Road, what could no into the area if it was rezoned. He was told that anything <br /> that could be built in a B3 use. <br /> Member Darrell Brown made a motion to give the rezone a positive recommendation to the <br /> council. Member Charles Berwick seconded the motion and it passed 7-0. <br /> The second item on the agenda was to vote on ordinance Chapter <br /> 11 Remedies and Penalties. There were two drafts presented during the meeting. Member Ann <br /> Whalen recommended the draft that creates fines no less than $10 and to more than $1, 000 <br /> as determined by the Plan Commission. Member Jeff Dieterlen made a motion to make a <br /> favorable recommendation to the Town Council on the draft for fines no less than $10 and <br /> no more than $1, 000 determined by the Plan Commission. Darrell Brown seconded the motion <br /> and it was passed 7-0. <br /> Audience member Teresa Carr, a property owner on Crosby Road, approched the commission <br /> about the Race to Win auto shop. She said she had visited the commission eight months <br /> previous and wanted to follow up. Joe Beikman said he has been in contact with Race to Win <br /> and told them to observe the cease and desist order. <br /> Member Chuck Berwick then brought up an issue with projects coming to the wrong meetings. <br /> He said some things should be going before the BZA prior to coming to the Plan Commission, <br /> etc. <br /> Attorney Tim Currens said it would be unfair to ask for help from employees in the clerk- <br /> treasurers office to give guidance because they do not study the zoning. They are <br /> enerally supposed to read the documents and figure it out on their own. <br /> �e Beikman reported that there had been 5 inspections and 4 <br /> Month. <br /> P permits made in the past <br /> Darrell Brown made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
