MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES <br /> THURSDAY, JANUARY 27, 2005, 6:00 P. M. <br /> The Mooresville Plan Commission met on Thursday, January 27, 2005, at 6:00 P. M. at <br /> the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> Commission members present were: Mike Young, John Ehrhart, Troy Bryant, Robert <br /> Corbin, and new member Jim Logan. Members absent were Jim Bruner, Charles <br /> McGuire, and Robert Williamson. Town attorney Tim Currens was present. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Corbin with a second by Commissioner Ehrhart to <br /> accept the minutes of December 16, 2004. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> Reorganization: A motion was made by Commissioner Ehrhart with a second by <br /> Commissioner Bryant to nominate Mike Young for Chairman. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Ehrhart with a second by Commissioner Corbin to <br /> nominate Charles McGuire as Vice Chairman. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Bryant with a second by Commissioner Corbin to <br /> nominate John Ehrhart as Secretary. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> A letter of thanks for participating on the Plan Commission Board will be sent to Chris <br /> Crouch and Tim Bennett. <br /> The Town Council appointed Chris Crouch to the BZA. <br /> Discuss the language of the sewer field site. Attorney Currens informed the commission <br /> he had sent a letter to Mr. Reynolds but did not have a response back as yet. <br /> Chairman Young told the commission Tim Currens had informed him they did not need a <br /> rule for not voting on a project the night it is presented,but just know to use common <br /> sense and collect that data and need to get more information then postpone to the next <br /> meeting. Attorney Currens said his thought,better off not to have a lot of rules, is to <br /> make a rule and then an EDC project comes in that is time sensitive and too much time is <br /> taken you stand to lose the project. Commissioner Bryant said that a lot of the time we <br /> hear financing can't be obtained if we don't move quickly, etc. Attorney Currens said it <br /> is more when the Town wants to hurry a project along that the rule could be a problem. <br /> Commissioner Ehrhart agreed with Commissioner Bryant and said he feels some of the <br /> issues have been passed on the first proposal and in hindsight they probably should have <br /> taken more time. <br /> Building Inspector, Joe Beikman, told the commission that now with the new Rule 13 <br /> they need to keep in mind the permits are expensive(a minimum of$1,000 per permit) <br /> on drainage and there is a set of drainage capitations that has to be sent out and could take <br />
