Next item on the agenda; a variance request by Tom and Debbie Farrington <br /> at 924 E. Keller Hill Rd. The Farrington's are asking for a change in set hack <br /> requirements to build an accessory building. They are asking to be 10 feet <br /> off the property line vs the 33 required. Mike Young asked if the building, <br /> garage would be a business. The Farrington's said no, any vehicles in and or <br /> around the garage are personal restoration projects. Neal Allman called for <br /> questions, none were asked. Mike made a motion to approve, it was <br /> seconded and the motion passed. <br /> The BZA took a 5 minute recess <br /> Last item on the agenda; filed by Rod Bray for the Remster family, who is <br /> seeking a special exception at St Rd 67 and 144. Rod Bray started by stating <br /> that the current zoning and that Remster family is wanting to operate a used <br /> auto lot on a portion of the property, he clarified the section of land on a map <br /> he presented to the BZA. Mr. Bray spoke of being in front of the plan <br /> Commission multiple times and that the Commission had come to no <br /> recommendation. Mr. Bray read the town ordinance and spoke on how a car <br /> lot could benefit the town. He mentioned that the neighborhood this was <br /> located in was both business and residential, and that a car lot would create <br /> not only new business but have a slower steadier traffic flow than many <br /> other businesses would. Rob Bray asked the board if they had any questions <br /> he could answer. Alan Kramer asked how access to the billboard would <br /> continue, Mr. Bray indicated that it would not he a problem, but access <br /> could be provided if ownership ever changed. Neal Allman address the <br /> aesthetics, Mr. Bray stated it would possibly have split rail fencing, lighting <br /> would be necessary, but could be limited, the plans are for 17 car slots, <br /> originally planned was a stick building but a metal office trailer is now <br /> planned. Neal Allman opened questions and comments up to the audience. <br /> Neighbors from the houses near by addressed concerns of additional traffic, <br /> the already difficult task of entering onto St Rd 67. The additional lighting <br /> was a concern for the homeowners. Neal Allman questioned the safety, a <br /> homeowner stated that drivers had been crossing the medium on St Rd 67 <br /> near the Hadley Rd. intersection, which now has a south bound u turn lane. <br /> Mr. Overholster, owner of the day care on neighboring property spoke about <br />
