Board of Zoning Appeals <br /> Minutes <br /> Thursday August 8th, 2013 <br /> Members present: Neal Allman, Mike Young, Perry King, Alan Kramer and l <br /> town attorney Tim Currens <br /> Chairman Neal Allman called the meeting to order at 6:00pm. Minutes from <br /> the May 2013 meeting were approved. <br /> First item on the agenda; Hannah Stewart and Zach Pingleton requesting to <br /> operate an auto detail at 246 E. Main St. Ms. Stewart and Mr. Pingleton <br /> stated they would be using the detached garage. Neal Allman questioned the <br /> amount of parking, there is space for 5 to 6 vehicles without using the road. <br /> Neal Allman asked about any signage. Tim Currens stated that there is no <br /> signage in RI so typically the BZA would add sign allowance and or <br /> stipulate the amount allowable. Ms. Stewart and Mr. Pingelton stated no <br /> permanent signs were being requested, banners and temporary yard signs <br /> were the only thing being used. Neal Allman called for additional questions <br /> or concern, none were asked, he then read the ordinance. Mike Young made <br /> a motion to pass with the stipulations of no more than 5 cars, 2 banners and <br /> 1 yard sign, no lights on the signs and typical business hours of 9:00am— <br /> 6:00pm outside the garage area. Alan Kramer seconded the motion and the <br /> motion passed unanimously. <br /> Second item on the agenda; Harvey Waddelow, director of Missions Alive is <br /> requesting a variance for Missions Alive at 5168 E. St Rd 144 to be able to <br /> rent out office space. Tim Currens clarified that they were requesting a <br /> change to their original variance. The request is for 4-5 unused rooms in the <br /> property be rentable, as well as possibly the conference room and or studio <br /> space current parking allows for 25 vehicles. Neal Allman called for <br /> questions, none were asked, he then read the ordinance. Alan Kramer made a <br /> motion to pass, Mike Young seconded and the motion passed 4-0. <br />
