MINUTES OF THE MOORESVILLE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br /> <br /> The Mooresville Board of Zoning Appeals met at its regular <br />meeting place, the Mooresville Town Hall, at 7:00 p.m. on <br />Wednesday, January 17, 1990. Present were Board Members Robert N. <br />Tucker, Vernon Kimmel, Don Barry, and Alan Kramer. Chairman <br />Tucker determined there was a quorum present and proceeded to the <br />reorganization of the Board. Nominations were opened for <br />Chairperson. Vern Kimmel nominated Don Barry. This was seconded <br />by Alan Kramer and unanimously carried. The new Chairperson <br />opened up nominations for Vice-Chairman. Don Barry nominated Vern <br />Kimmel. This was seconded and unanimously carried. Nominations <br />were then opened for Secretary. Alan Kramer nominated Robert <br />Tucker; this was seconded and unanimously carried. The Board then <br />proceeded to the first item on the agenda, a request for a <br />variance from the Subdivision Control Ordinance filed by Harry W. <br />Lasiter ana Vicki A. Lasiter. The Lasiters were requesting <br />permission to construct a single family dwelling house on a 1.162 <br />acre tract of land being deeded to them from George and Conduitt <br />Fields. The Fields own all of the surrounding ground consisting <br />of approximately 27 acres. The property is located off of Hadley <br />Road. Mr. and Mrs. Lasiter were present and showed drawings of <br />the proposed home, advised that the septic had been approved, <br />along with the road cut form the county. The Board then reviewed <br />the Subdivision Control Ordinance and proceeded to a discussion of <br />the variance from the development standards.
