MINUTES OF THE MOORESVILLE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br /> <br /> The Mooresville Board of Zoning Appeals met at its regular <br />meeting place at the Mooresville Town Hall the 20th day of <br />January, 1988. Present were board members Warren Franklin, <br />Tilford Bailey, Robert Tucker, Don Barry, and Steve Oschman. <br /> <br />The first item on the agenda was the reorganization for the year <br />1988. Chairman Oschman determined there was a quroum present and <br />proceeded with approval of the minutes ai~d findings of fact of <br />the prior meeting. He then opened up nominations for the position <br />of chairman of the Board of Zoning Appeals. Tilford Bailey <br />nominated Steve Oschman. This was seconded by Don Barry and <br />passed unanimously. Nominations were then opened for Vice Chairman <br /> <br />with Tilford Bailey nominating Don Barry. <br />Warren Franklin and unanimously carried. <br />nominated Warren Franklin for secretary. <br /> <br />This was seconded by <br />Tilford Bailey then <br />This was seconded by <br /> <br />Don Barry and unanimously carried. The board then proceeded to <br />the first matter on the agenda for the evening. <br /> <br /> Myron Westenhofer, 560 Bridge Street was present along with <br />counsel, Mark Peden requesting a variance from the development <br />standards as to set-backs to place a garage which will front <br />Harlan Drive. The variance request was for a front yard set-back <br />from the development standards of forty (40) feet to nineteen (~9) <br />feet. Mr. Westenhofer showed the drawing of where he intended to <br />place the garage and the location of the property to adjoining <br />property owners. He also advised that he'd spoke with other people <br />in the area regarding the set-back request which consisted of a <br />rear set-back from the development standards of twenty (20) feet to <br />eight (8) feet, a side from twenty (20) feet to ten (10) feet and a <br /> <br /> <br />
