MINUTES OF THE MOORESVILLE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS

The Mooresville Board of Zoning Appeals met
meeting place, the Town Hall, on August 17, 1988.
members Steve Oschman, Don Barry, Tilford Bailey,

at its regular

Present were
Robert Tucker,

and Warren Franklin. The board's attorney, Timothy C. Currens,
was also present. Chairman Oschman determined that there was a
quorum present and proceeded with approval of minutes of the prior
meeting.

The first item on the agenda was the Beasley special
exception request which had to be tabled due to the Plan
Commission not making a determination of the effect this would
have on the Master Land ~e Plan.

The next item to come before the Board was the variance
request for Mary Jane Griggs and Steven L. The board's attorney withdrew at this time
stating a conflict of interest and advised the board if there were
legal opinions necessary that the matter should be continued and
the Town would have to obtain an attorney to counsel the board on
this matter. The board proceeded with Steven L. Harris presenting
the presentation. Mr. Harris advised that he was purchasing the
property from Mary Jane Griggs and wanted to develop the property
in two separate single family lots. He advised that both lots
would be in excess of three (3) acres and each had equal amount of
road frontage of two hundred twenty-five (225) feet. He advised
the lots were not conducive to any other use other than
residential in this area and due to the size of the individual
