Present were Board members Don Barry,
Tilford Bailey, Warren Franklin and Robert Tucker. The Board's
attorney, Timothy C. Currens, was also present. Vice Chairman
Barry determined that there was a quorum present and proceeded
with approval of Minutes and Findings of Fact of the prior
meeting.

The first item to come before the Board was a Special Excep-
tion request of George E. and Janet W. Carlisle, which was
immediately forwarded to the Plan Commission for a report on the
effect on the Master Land Use Plan. The petitioners were advised
of the next Plan Commission meeting date, September 22, 1988, at
7:30 P.M., at the Mooresville Town Hall.

The next item to come before the Board was the set-back
variance request of Carroll M. and Deborah J. Herrin on the
property located at Lot No. 25 in Woodland Hills, requesting a
set-back variance from the development standards of forty feet to
twenty-five feet. The petitioner, Carroll M. Herrin was present
with Attorney David Lawson. Notices were found to be in order and
Attorney Lawson proceeded with the presentation. A plat of the

subdivision was entered as Exhibit "1" which showed the respective
lots and placements of some of the homes, including the home on
Lot No. 27 which was 150 feet off of the curb line.
