MINUTES OF THE MOORESVILLE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br /> <br /> The Mooresville Board of Zoning Appeals met at its regularly <br />scheduled meeting on September 16, 1987 at the Mooresville Town <br />Hall. Present were board members Tilford Bailey, Wendell Thaler, <br />Don Barry and Warren Franklin. Also standing in for board attorney, <br />Timothy C. Currens was attorney Michael A. Ksenak. The meeting <br />was called to order by Vice Chairman Tilford Bailey who determined <br />that a quorum was present. The board then proceeded to approve <br />the minutes of the prior meeting. <br /> <br /> The board then proceeded to the first item on the agenda which <br /> <br />was the continuation of the Raymond H. Reed petition which had been <br />tabled from the prior month's meeting. Present representing Mr. Reed <br />was attorney Roscoe Stovall. Mr. Stovall advised that he had <br />obtained a copy of the building permit issued December 10, 1986 <br />which was requested by the board to corroborate Mr. Reed's prior <br />testimony that he was in compliance with the town ordinance concerning <br />the remodeling work done. The board responded that the permit did <br />not reflect the purpose for which it was issued. <br /> <br /> Tilford Bailey advised that Building Inspector Joe Beikman would <br />not have issued a permit to allow for a multi-family dwelling <br />alteration in an area zoned A-residential. <br /> <br /> Wendell Thaler inquired as to what fee Mr. Reed had paid for <br /> <br />the building permit and Mr. Reed responded he had paid twenty-five <br />dollars ($25.00) for the addition to his house. <br /> <br /> Tilford Bailey indicated that one of the board's request from <br /> <br />the last meeting was a certification by the Morgan County Board of <br />Health that a percolation test ha~ been performed and positive results <br />obtained. Attorney Stovall advised the board that he had been informed <br /> <br /> <br />
