-6-

frames per day maximum and that they build only what is ordered.
Bruce Kraver, an employee of Mrs. Manning, advised that he had been

shot in the head and was disabled to the point of not being able to use his
left hand and left leg. He advised that he could not work anywhere else and
needed this job for income.

A Mrs. Day also advised that this was her sole employment and that her
husband was disabled and unemployed.

The Board turned to the floor and inquired whether any remonstrators were
present. Jerry Mayfield advised that he h~d filed the original complaint against
the Mannings. He also informed the Board that there were covenants in the deeds re-
stricting this type of operation. When his complaint was originally filed it

took the Mannings a long time to clean up the property. He advised that the
home is now in worse shape than it has ever been. He advised that the building
in the back yard was a pole barn and is not conducive to single family dwelling
area. Traffic also parked on the side of the street with no parking posted.
Mr. Mayfield said the question is whether a business should be allowed to
operate there at all, not whether the Board should allow a business for the
handicapped.

Sherry Stewart asked the Board if the variance was granted what authority
did they have to keep the property in good condition. Steve Oschman indicated
that the Board could impose restrictions on the granting of this variance. Mr.
Mayfield advised that it took 5 months before to clean up the sawdust and he
feels the Board cannot enforce their restrictions.
Mitzie Forbes advised the appearance of the property in question was not
in keeping with the neighborhood. She has observed outside storage and the
driveway is full of mud.

Mr. Mayfield advised that the Board should at least go out and look at

the property and Mr. Stewart agreed.

Ros Stovall advised that the Mannings w~u~d create a drive with gravel
