-2- <br /> <br />as to mobile homes and mobile home parks without any showing of hardship. <br /> <br /> The next remonstrator to speak was John Mills of 330 Lockerbie Street. <br /> <br />He stated that he was within a few hundred feet of the proposed area and there <br />were several other nice homes visible fro~ th~s area which were not compatible <br />with such a use. Mr. Mi]is stated that the mobile home represented a temporary <br />ts~e cf housing which did not fit in with the permanent homes in the area and <br />that in his opinion this hurt the area. He also stated that there were some <br />~ater problems in this area which such a use would only compound, lastly~ he <br />stated that this was not the highest and best use of the area and to grant this <br />would destroy the credibility of the ordinance and the Board. <br /> <br /> The Board then took a count of the number of other persons present to spe~k <br />against this~ there were 16. ~Tbe Board requested that the nature of their testimony <br />not be repetitive~ ~he next indi,,idual to speak was John Medsker of 315 Lockerbie <br />Street. Mr. Medsker stated that he was aware of water problems in the area and <br />felt that this type of use was not proper. The next party to speak wa~ Rachel <br />Ruona of 136 W. South Street. Mrs. Ruon~ proposed the question to the Board, <br />"Shall Mooresville be the flower or shanty to%~ of Morgan County." These are the <br />f~ctors that she feels must be decided by this Board, She stated that trailers <br />in the area should be reduced, not increased, and the fact that there are other <br />mobile homes in the area does not make one more ok. She stated that there were <br />water problems in the area and this would only make it worse. The next person <br />to speak was Brenda McWhorter of 142 W. South Street who stated that she was <br />aware of water problems in the area and that this would only make the %zater problems <br />worse. She also stated she was against mobile homes in the area. <br /> <br /> The Board then proceeded to a discussion of this matter and findings of <br /> fact.
