MINUTES OF THE MOOI~SVIT.I,~ BOABD OP ZONING APPEALS <br /> <br /> The Mooresville Board of Zoning Appeals met at its regularly scheduled <br /> <br />meeting the 18th day of September, 1985 at the Mooresville Town Hall. Present <br />were Board Members Steve Oscf~an, Paul Walters, Wendell Thaler, Tilford Bailey, <br />and Warren Franklin. The Board's Attorney, Timothy C. Currens, was also present. <br />Chaiman Oschman determined that there wns a quorum present and opened the meeting. <br />Minutes of the prior meeting were approved as read. <br /> <br /> The Board then proceeded to the first item on the agenda, Docket No. 2-1985 <br />filed by Hosten Bible regarding the property located at 130 N. Indiana Street, <br />Hooresville, Indiana. Attorney Korn advised that he had sent out regular letters <br />notifying adjoining property owners of the continued hearin~ as requested by the <br />Board's Attorney. Hr. Bible was represented by Sam Korn and also Herman Jacobs <br />was present who was introduced as the builder for the proposed project. Attorney <br />Currens then went through the variance request and in particular, stated that there <br />were four requests set out as follows: 1) the set-backs on Horgan Street from 40 <br />feet as required to 28 feet and on the south side from 20 feet as required to 16 feet; <br />2) the minimum lot width which is required by the ordinance to be a 2:1 ratio; <br />3) the minimum lot area per dwelling standard with 3500 square feet being the <br />standard and the projection here being 2500 square feet and 4) the parking, which <br />would require 2 parking places p er unit. The Board's Attorney advised that there <br />was not an issue as to lot coverage as originally believed in that with the center <br />area of the proposed project not being closed the standard was met. Attorney Korn <br />and Herman Jacobs then explairmd the proposed project and showed and reviewed the <br />drawings with the Board. The Board then proceeded with a discussion regarding the <br />respective problems and questioned both Mr. Korn and Jacobs regarding parking and <br />the other request and effect to adjoining properties. Chairman Oschman requested <br />any remonstrators to come forth and speak; there were none present. <br /> <br /> Chairman Oschman then opened the Board up to a discussion and motion on the <br /> <br /> <br />
