created by having a business in the neighborhood which is a residential use. He <br />also had questions about ads in the newspaper and request for salespersons which <br />would indicate that the businoss was more than a hobby. <br /> <br /> The next person to speak was Mr. Wayne Timmons of 304 W. Main Street, <br />Mooresville, Indiana. Mr. Timmons questioned the use of the property for a <br />hobby wood shop in that advertisements were in the paper on a regular basis <br />along with advertisements for salespersons to work for Mr. Hadley. Mr. Timmons <br />then questioned whether or not this was a proper use for a neighborhood and also <br />if it would not be opening up the door for additional businesses to be opened in <br />the neighborhood. <br /> <br /> The Board then went into deliberations and Board Member Ray House stated that <br />taking all personalities aside he believed that business uses should not be <br />permitted in residential areas. At this time Board Attorney Currens read the' <br />definition of a customary home occupation to the Board Members and advised that <br />the request would seemingly fall within this definition which is allowed by <br />special exception in a residential area under the Town's zoning ordinance. Board <br />Member Wendell Thaler advised that he had no real problem with the limited use <br />of the property for a hobby, however, he believed that certain restrictions on <br />signs and other expanded business uses should not be allowed. Board Member <br />Walters said that he understood tho request to be only for a hobby for a retired <br />person to continue to keep himself busy, and based upon that with the proper <br />restrictions he would not have any problem with this use. <br /> <br /> Dave Kollmeyer, from the floor, advisod the Board that eliminating the sign <br /> would be a key condition for satisfying the objections which he had. <br /> <br /> Chairman Oschman then requested a motion from the Board. Wendell Thaler <br /> then proceeded to make the following motion, namely, that the Board grant the <br /> <br /> <br />
