petition for variance requested by Walter Hadley and Minnie J. Hadley to allow
the use of their home to assemble the bunk beds and other hobby wood projects
pursuant to the Town's customary home occupation provision within the zoning
ordinance with the restrictions that there would be no sign advertising the
business, no advertising in the n~wspaper for the business, that there be
no external evidence of the occupation, that there is no commodity or service
sold upon the premises except that which is produced thereon, that there be
no traffic congestion or traffic hazard created by the home occupation, only
occupant or members of his or her family would be employed, that there would
be no external changes, additions, enlargements or exterior alterations relating
in any way to the home occupation, that there be no physical expansion of utilities
or con~nunity facilities beyond the normal residential and that said home occupation
would be terminated upon the transfer of the property to any person other than
a member of the immediate family residing on the property. This motion was
seconded by Paul Walters and Wendell Thaler, Paul Walters, and Board Chairman
Oschman voted favorably for the same. That Board Members Franklin, Kollmeyer
and House abstained. There not being a quorum the motion did not carry. Board
Member House then made a motion to deny the variance as requested. This motion
died for lack of a second. At this time Board Attorney Currens advised the
parties that this would have to be tabled for lack of a majority decision
on the issue and it could be brought back up on October 19, 1983 for review.

There being no further business to come before the Board the meeting

was adjourned.

~~~tary
Steve Oschman, Chairman
