<br />. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />'206. No unauthorized person shall uncover, make any connections with or <br />opening into, use, alter, or disturb any public sewer or appurte- <br />nance thereof without first obtaining a written permit from the <br />Town Clerk-Treasurer. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />207. No person shall make any connection with the public sewers or <br />drains, or with any extension or connection previously made, with- <br />out first obtaining a written permit from the Town Clerk-Treasurer. <br />The application for such permit must be made in writing not later <br />than the day previous to the opening of the street by the owner or <br />authorized agent of the property to be connected, and must be <br />accompanied by a clear description of the premises, the name of the <br />owner, the number of fixtures to be connected therewith, and the <br />name of the person employed to do the work. <br /> <br />208. All costs and expenses incident to the installation snd connection <br />of the building sewer shall be borne by the owner. The owner or <br />the ,person installing the building sewer for ssid owner shall <br />indemnify said Town from any loss or damage that may directly or <br />indirectly be Occasioned by said installation. <br /> <br />209. A separate and independent building sewer shall be provided for <br />every building¡ except where two buildings are in close proximity <br />and no private sewer is available or can be constructed to the <br />second building through an adjoining alley, court, yard, or drive- <br />way, the building sewer from the front building may be extended to <br />the second building and the whole considered as one building sewer. <br /> <br />210. Old building sewers may be used in connection with new buildings <br />only when they are found on examination and test by the Inspector <br />to meet all requirements of this Ordinance. <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />211. Building sewers shall be constructed using extra strength vitrified <br />clay pipe, ASTM Designation C-700¡ polyvinyl chloride pipe, ASTM <br />Designation D-3034 SDR 35, type PSM¡ acrylonitrile-butadiene_ <br />styrene (ABS) pipe, ASTM Designation D-2661; ductile iron pipe, <br />AWWA Designation C-151¡ or cast iron pipe, AWWA Designation C-lll. <br />All joints in the pipe and fittings shall be gastight and water- <br />tight. The Superintendent may require cast iron or ductile iron <br />pipe be used where the building sewer is in the close vicinity to <br />tree roots or where the building sewer is to be placed in filled or <br />unstable soil. Cast' iron or ductile iron pipe shall be used for <br />the building sewer where it is impossible to maintain a ten foot <br />horizontal and a 'one and one-half foot vertical separation from <br />water mains and water service lines. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />l <br /> <br />212. The size and slope of the building sewers shall be subject to the <br />approval of the Inspector, but in no event shall the diameter be <br />less than six inches for single family or duplex residential units <br />and not less than six inches for all other uses.
