I ORDINANCE NO, / ~ 1979 --~- AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING LEFT-HAND TURN LANES FOR MOTOR VEHICULAR TRAFFIC TRAVELING IN A NORTHERLY AND SOUTHERLY DIRECTION AT THE INTERSECTION OF SOUTH INDIANA AND SOUTH STREETS IN THE CIVIL TOWN OF MOORESVILLE, INDIANA BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Trustees of the Civil Town of Mooresville, Indiana, that: By the powers vested in the Board of Trustees by the '- acts of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana, it is hereby ordered and ordained that whereas it is necessary to con- trol the flow of traffic in the Civil Town of Mooresville, 1n- diana, that an ordinance be adopted establishing left-hand turn lanes for motor vehicular traffic traveling in a northerly and southerly direction at the intersection of South Indiana Street and South Street as follows. SECTION I: It is hereby ORDERED and ORDAINED that at the inter- section of South Indiana Street and South Street that the inside vehicular lane for traffic being the lane next to the center line be and is now designated as a veticular lÐne 01" lanes for left turns only for all vehicles traveling in either a northerly or southerly direction at said intersection. It is further ORDERED and ORDAINED that the driver of a motor vehicle entering said intersection either in a northerly or southerly di_rection shall use such inside lane of traffic at said intersection only for the purposes of making a left-hand turn whether traveling either in a northerly or southerly direction unless traffic at such intersection is controlled by a police officer on duty, in which event, the directions of the police officer shall be com- plied with.
