about the cost of hooking onto the main. The cost per foot was estimated any- <br />where from $8.00 a foot to $18.00 per foot depending on the site. Mr. Fondren <br />offered to come out and talk with any of the residents that were interested in <br />the same. <br /> <br /> Next Curtis Freeman of 1441 State Road 144 spoke and explained he ~was <br />concerned about the safety of children, the location since his property adjoined <br />this proposed site, noise and landscaping. J. H. Fondren explained that a <br />6 foot chain link fence would be aroumd the tank and that the pump for the <br />building would run only as needed and would be in a building which should reduce <br />any noise. Mr. Fondran likewise agreed to some landscaping within reason and <br />advised that the property would be properly maintained and mowed. He also <br />explained that hydrants could be placed in this area upon request so long as <br />either the township, town, or residents agreed to pay the fee on the same. <br />Some discussion was also had by Mr. Freeman about other sites of the tank <br />down the road or away from his home. Also discussion about having the fence <br />placed in a position where it wouId not block his view was discussed. <br /> <br /> Darrell Brown then advised the Board that the Brown Township Trustee would <br />be interested in paying for a hydrant if the rental rate was not too high. <br />Mr. Fondren from the water company agreed to contact him in regards to this. <br /> <br /> Steve Edwards then spoke in person as to the benefit that the water tank <br />could be to the natural growth of this area for the Town of Mooresville. The <br />Board did poll those persons present as to their wishes and 8 of the remonstrators <br />present were against the storage tank at this proposed location with none of <br />adjoining property owners being in favor at this location. The Board then <br />discussed the Variance and Paul Walterm then entertained a motion from the <br />Board. Steve Oschman then proceeded to make the following findings: <br /> <br /> <br />
