Minutes of the Metropolitan Police <br /> Commissioners Meeting <br /> May 15, 2008 <br /> The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. Commissioner Berwick <br /> welcomed everyone to the meeting. Present were Chief Viles, Commissioners Berwick, <br /> Kays and Bryant, Town Attorney Timothy Currens. <br /> Commissioner Kays motioned for the minutes to be approved and Commissioner Bryant <br /> seconded. <br /> Old Business <br /> The Commissioners discussed the Abandoned Vehicle Ordinance and Town Attorney <br /> Tim Currens advised that there was a new state law regarding abandoned vehicles and <br /> that the main concern right now was vehicles on private property. Currens also advised <br /> that he had a revision to the current Town Ordinance completed and was waiting on <br /> approval from the Mooresville Town Board. <br /> New Business <br /> Chief Viles advised the Police Commissioners of the Statistics for the Month of March. <br /> Chief Viles updated the Police Commissioners on the status of the newly hired officers: <br /> Goodwin, Schultz and Ashbach. <br /> Chief Viles also updated the Police Commission on the status of the vehicles going to <br /> auction. <br /> Mooresville Police Department Police Commission <br /> r •uck Berwick, President <br /> sirs <br /> Dean Kays <br /> Lany B'4ant <br />
