The Minutes of the Mooresville Metropolitan <br /> Police Department Police Commission Meeting <br /> April 21, 2011 <br /> r <br /> The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. Commissioner <br /> Berwick welcomed everyone to the meeting. Present were <br /> Commissioners Berwick, Bryant, Kays, Police Chief Timothy Viles and <br /> Town Board President George Watkins. <br /> Commissioner Kays motioned for February's minutes to be accepted and <br /> Commissioner Bryant seconded. <br /> Statistics — March 2011 <br /> Incident Reports 251 <br /> Arrest Reports 144 <br /> Citations 121 <br /> Warnings 89 <br /> Accidents 27 Accidents (24 PD, 3 PI) <br /> New Business <br /> Town Board President George Watkins advised the Police Commission <br /> that ex-police officer Tom Whitley has applied for and is receiving <br /> unemployment from the Town of Mooresville. Town Board President <br /> Watkins explained that he was told because the Town of Mooresville has <br /> such a low turnover rate that the Town does not opt into percentage pay <br /> for unemployment through the State of Indiana. Town Board President <br /> Watkins advised that because of that there was little or no money in each <br /> department's budget for unemployment and there was not a separate <br /> fund set-up in the Town's budget. Chief Viles stated that he had never <br /> known that any of the departments in the Town of Mooresville to have <br /> monies set aside for unemployment. Town Board President Watkins <br />
