MOORESVILLE REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES <br /> THURSDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2012 <br /> The Mooresville Redevelopment Commission met on Thursday, October 4, 2012, at the <br /> Mooresville Government Center. <br /> Commission members present were: Chairman Harold Gutzwiller,Tim Corman, George <br /> Watkins,and Don Stultz. Attorney Currens was present. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Corman with a second by Commissioner Stultz to <br /> approve the minutes of Executive Session and regular session on August 15, 2012. <br /> Motion carried 4-0. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Corman with a second by Commissioner Watkins <br /> to approve the financial report. (Attached to minutes) Motion carried 4-0. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Corman with a second by Commissioner Stultz to <br /> ratify lease with Ivy Tech. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> Showtime Cinema lease amendment: approached to modify lease to be more in line with <br /> Brown Bark lease they asked for permission to not pay for 3 months and then they would <br /> ( ramp up their payments, in essence,no loss of money in the lease. A motion was made <br /> by Commissioner Corman with a second by Commissioner Stultz to ratify this lease <br /> amendment for September, October, and November and pay in December to March 2013. <br /> Motion carried 4-0. Need to show paying property tax equivalent in lieu of rent. <br /> Entryway pylon sign: Three quotes:Premier$28,895.25 <br /> ISF $26,670.00 <br /> The Sign Group $29,800.00 <br /> Revised Sign Design $27,409.00 <br /> Chairman Gutzwiller's recommendation was for ISF revised amount. A motion was <br /> made by Commissioner Watkins with a second by Commissioner Stultz to select ISF. <br /> Motion carried 4-0. <br /> Parking Lot Lighting Improvement: A photo metric test was done of the parking lot at no <br /> cost. Need four new lights and seven lights repaired. Two quotes: <br /> James Babcock Inc. $33,734.00 <br /> Riverside Electric $16,700.00 <br /> They are going to confirm the price from Riverside Electric and they are still waiting on a <br /> quote from T &W Construction. If either one of these come in less than Babcock <br /> Chairman Gutzwiller wants permission to sign the quote with assumption there are no <br /> changes. Commissioner Watkins made a motion to approve and a second was made by <br /> Commissioner Corman. Motion carried 4-0. <br />
