MOORESVILLE REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION MINUTES THURSDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2012 The Mooresville Redevelopment Commission met on Thursday, October 4, 2012, at the Mooresville Government Center. Commission members present were: Chairman Harold Gutzwiller,Tim Corman, George Watkins,and Don Stultz. Attorney Currens was present. A motion was made by Commissioner Corman with a second by Commissioner Stultz to approve the minutes of Executive Session and regular session on August 15, 2012. Motion carried 4-0. A motion was made by Commissioner Corman with a second by Commissioner Watkins to approve the financial report. (Attached to minutes) Motion carried 4-0. A motion was made by Commissioner Corman with a second by Commissioner Stultz to ratify lease with Ivy Tech. Motion carried 4-0. Showtime Cinema lease amendment: approached to modify lease to be more in line with Brown Bark lease they asked for permission to not pay for 3 months and then they would ( ramp up their payments, in essence,no loss of money in the lease. A motion was made by Commissioner Corman with a second by Commissioner Stultz to ratify this lease amendment for September, October, and November and pay in December to March 2013. Motion carried 4-0. Need to show paying property tax equivalent in lieu of rent. Entryway pylon sign: Three quotes:Premier$28,895.25 ISF $26,670.00 The Sign Group $29,800.00 Revised Sign Design $27,409.00 Chairman Gutzwiller's recommendation was for ISF revised amount. A motion was made by Commissioner Watkins with a second by Commissioner Stultz to select ISF. Motion carried 4-0. Parking Lot Lighting Improvement: A photo metric test was done of the parking lot at no cost. Need four new lights and seven lights repaired. Two quotes: James Babcock Inc. $33,734.00 Riverside Electric $16,700.00 They are going to confirm the price from Riverside Electric and they are still waiting on a quote from T &W Construction. If either one of these come in less than Babcock Chairman Gutzwiller wants permission to sign the quote with assumption there are no changes. Commissioner Watkins made a motion to approve and a second was made by Commissioner Corman. Motion carried 4-0.
