MOORESVILLE REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION I <br /> ( MINUTES <br /> WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 31,2012, 6:30 P. M. <br /> The Redevelopment Commission met at the Mooresville Government Center with the <br /> following members in attendance: Chairman Harold Gutzwiller, Tim Corman,Don <br /> Stultz,and George Watkins. Attorney Tim Currens was present. Morgan County EDC <br /> Director Joy Sessing was present. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Corman with a second by Commissioner Stultz to <br /> approve minutes from October 4, 2012 meeting. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> Fund report review: Attached. <br /> ET project incentive payment: Both work at Merriman Road and Flagstaff have been <br /> completed. A motion to pay the $100,000 incentive offered by the Redevelopment <br /> Commission to ET was made by Commissioner Corman with a second by Commissioner <br /> Stultz. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> Southbridge Landscaping: The commission had asked for options to plantings,number, <br /> and what kinds. All information and pictures are in. The trees suggested are all very <br /> large trees. Commissioner Gutzwiller asked why and asked for ornamental type trees that <br /> might marginally affect the cost. The trees need a shallow root system. A low bid from <br /> T& W Construction for five islands was $19,263.00. The next lowest bid was $24,500. <br /> T&W is also doing the lighting and they would start yet this fall. He is thinking islands <br /> out in parking area and planter close to the building. A motion to approve T& W <br /> Construction to do the landscaping subject to renegotiation of tree type and cost was <br /> made by Commissioner Corman with a second by Commissioner Stultz. Motion carried <br /> 3-0. <br /> James Newcomer,project manager, gave a report on the activities at Southbridge: The <br /> building Ivy Tech is going to occupy has a separate wall now,the tenant already there has <br /> moved into the back of the building at 200 Southbridge and Ivy Tech's address will be <br /> 204 Southbridge. There is a good chance the building will be completed earlier than the <br /> end of December. The sanitary line has been resolved, framing is started, and pipes and <br /> ducts are in. Commissioner Corman asked who the contractor doing the work. Quality <br /> Plumbingand SunnyElectric,the roof to units should be in shortly. IvyTech comes to <br /> p <br /> Y <br /> the construction meetings. P, <br /> The pylon sign should be completed by mid November. <br /> The lighting project is moving forward. <br /> l � <br />
