~oard of Zoning Appeals <br /> <br /> Mooresville Board of Zoning appeals met on September 22, 1977. <br />T~e hearing had been scheduled for Sept. 13, 1977, but on a <br />continuance requested by the remonstrators, was rescheduled to 9-22-77. <br /> <br /> ~,~emoers present were Steve Edwards, Ray House, Paul Waiters, <br />Warren Franklin and Eweather S~ephens. Present also was DaVid Lawson, <br />Attorney for the Board. <br /> <br /> Docket #5~ 1977, was presented by Attorney Steven Harris~ in behalf <br />of petitioners Nancy and Robert Heath,Charles and Gertrude Partlow, <br />owners of t~e Former Kendricks Hospital proverty located at 130 ~. <br />Indiana St., and Connie and Gloria Poe as potential buyers of 75 feet <br />on the West end of said property, contingent on the variance being <br />granted. The variance seeks construction of a single family home on <br />75 feet rather than 80feet as specified in the building codes. <br /> <br /> Remonstrators included Attorney Whitney Bibbens, attorney for <br />Dr. James Sterrett. Attorney Bibo~ns indicated the greatest <br />concern of tile Sterrets, adjacent property oweners to the South, was the <br />Condition of the present property at 130 ~. Indiana Street. There was <br />no oojection to construction of a single family building. <br /> <br /> Lucille Antrim~ Morgan Street property owner immediately West of the <br />property in ~ue~tion was concerned for parking on the South side of <br />Morgan Street. Warren Franklin, Street Commissioner, assure~ her that <br />~0 PARKI~G signs waich have been stolen or removed would be re~laced. <br /> <br /> Jim Wood of 88 Morgan Street also voiced concern for parking <br />problems. <br /> <br /> ~aving heard all evidence, after due deliberation, Paul Walters made <br />a motion that the variance be granted as requested on the condition that <br />a legal description of the ground in question be furnished to the <br />Board of Zoning Appeals through their Attorney~ Steven Harris. The motion <br />was seconded by Eweather Stephens. The Vote was: <br /> Yes - Paul Walters <br /> Yes - Eweather Stephens <br /> Yes - Raymon~ House <br /> Yes - Steve Edwards <br /> Abstainin~ - Warren Franklin <br /> <br /> Remonstrators were advised that complaints about the property located <br />at 130 ~. Indiana Street~ otherwise known as the "Old Kendrick Hospital", <br />should oe directed to the Mooresville Plan Commission. <br /> <br /> There being no further business, upon a motion by Paul Walters, <br />Seconded oy Eweather S~ephens, the meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />Secretary <br /> <br />President <br /> <br /> <br />
