MOORESVILLE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br /> <br /> As scheduled, the board of zoning appeals met on September 1~, 1976 <br />at 7:30 P.M. Prior to the 7:30 meeting members of the Zoning Appeals <br />board met at the 18t located on the north end of property located <br />at 31~ W. Main St. for which the variance ls being sought to build <br />a duplex. Members present were: Steve Edwards, Paul Walters, <br />Warren Franklln and Eweather Stephens. Also present was David E. <br />Lawson, attorney for the board. <br /> <br /> & motion was made by Warren Franklin and seconded by <br />Eweather Stephens axx~et~z~. The motion was to reject the variance <br />as asked in petition, Docket #3, 1976 by Jerry O. & Marilyn Lou <br />Willlamson, and Charles and Margaret Quillen e#X~N~X~&#N~X, in the <br />belief that to grant the variance would be materially detrimental <br />to properties or improvements In the vicinity where property is <br />located, the variance would alter the land use characteristics <br />of the vicinity and diminish the marketable value of adjacent <br />1ands and add to traffic congestion in public streets, and the <br />size is not of sufficient size to accomodate the proposed building <br />as presented to the board of Zoning appeals. <br /> <br /> Voting to reject the variance were: Eweather Stephens <br />Warren Franklin. <br /> <br />Voting to grant <br /> <br />the variance were: Paul Walters and Steve Edwards. <br /> <br /> A tie vote resulted, meaning that no action was taken and <br />petitioners may, if they wish, re-petition at a later date. <br /> <br /> Attorney Lawson was asked to have the instruction sheet re-written <br />to require that petitioners file three (3) copies of plat plans, <br />drawn to scale, and floor plans sh~wing proposed location of building <br />on lot. These are to be presented with requests for variances. <br /> <br />being no further business, the meeting was adjourned <br /> <br />Secretary <br /> <br /> The re <br />by consent. <br /> <br />P res ident <br /> <br /> <br />
