MOORESVILLE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br /> August 7, 1975 <br /> <br /> The Mooresville Board of Zoning Appeals met in special session <br />on August 7, 1975, at 7:30 P.M. Those members present were: Nilliam <br />Roberson, Wllliam Abbott, Warren Franklin, Paul Walters and <br />Eweather Stephens. In the absence of Board Attorney, David Lawson, <br />counsel for the evening was his partner Attorney John Howard. <br /> <br />Minutes of the previous were read and approved. <br /> <br /> Petition ~, 1975, was presented by Attorney Steven Harris, <br />representing Jackson P. and Suzanne Turner of RR ~ Box q6C, <br />Mooresville, Ind. Oocuments relating to the petition were examined <br />by Attorney Howard and found to be in order. <br /> <br /> Attorney Harris and his Client, Jackson P. Turner presented <br />evidence asking for a variance to lot 7 of the Butler Addition in <br />Mooresvllle, which is now zoned Residentlai A, single family. They <br />asked for four variances as follows: !. rezoning from Residential <br />A stngle family to residential B two family, 2. the square feet of <br />~he unit b~ changed from 8000 sq. ft. to 7200 sq. ft., 3. the mln- <br />fmum lot wfdth be changed from the required 70 ft. to 60 ft., and <br />~. A minimum rear yard of 20 ft. with the buildlng to front on <br />Carlisle St. <br /> <br /> Time was given to remonstrators, Mrs. Mlldred Stone and Mrs. <br />Juanita McCloud to voice their objections. Mrs. Stone lives at <br />lot 8 in the Butler Addition and Mrs. McCloud lives at lot 9 in <br />the Butler Addltion. Both ladies objected to the building of a <br />two family dwelllng on the basis that there is not adequate <br />area for Children to play and the fear that there is not enough <br />parking space for vehicles. No other objections were evident and <br />upon hearing the propqsals from.the petitioner, Mr. Turner and <br />weighing ail the evidence a motion was made by Paul Walters that: <br /> <br />1. A variance be granted based upon the existing size of the <br />lot, 60~ X 120~, as represented by the petitioner. <br /> <br />2. The front exterior wall shall be placed exactly sixteen (16) <br />feet from the North property line. <br /> <br />3. There shall be two (2) off-Street parking spaces per dwelling <br />unit. <br /> <br />~. The variance be granted specifically to Jackson P. & Suzanne <br />Turner and is not transferable by them in tk~ event they should <br />decide against bullding~ <br /> <br />5. The property must be served by City Utilities. <br /> <br /> The motion was seconded by Warren Fraklln and upheld by a <br />unanimous vote of the Board. <br /> <br /> <br />
