MOORESVILLE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br /> <br /> The Mooresville Board of Zoning Appeals met In called <br /> <br />session on September 9, 1975, at 7:30 P.M. Members present were: <br />William Roberson, Paul Walters, Warren Franklin and Eweather Stephens. <br />Also present was Attorney for the board, Oavid E. Lawson. <br /> <br /> Minutes from the previous meeting were read and approved. <br /> <br /> Docket #5-1975, was presented by Richard R. and Mary E. Roberts, <br />seeking a variance to the zoning of property at 222 Hadley St., 1et 17 <br />of Hadley~s Ist Subdivision. The present zoning is residentlal-A, <br />slngle family. The variance would permit them to operate a flower shop <br />in the garage which is located on lot 17, fronting on Maple Lane. <br /> <br /> No remonstrators appeared, but a letter from Mr. & Mrs. John <br /> <br />R. Noble of 202 Hadley Street was read, noting concern that the <br />curve in Maple Lane would prove to be a traffic hazard. Appearing wlth <br />petitioners was Douglas Wiicher, present owner of the property as a Joint- <br />petitioner, since the proposal to buy the property was subject to the <br />variance being granted. <br /> <br /> Mr. Roberts presentdd tenative plans for remodeling the 20~XqOe <br />structure. <br /> <br /> After due consideration the variance was granted with ~he <br /> stipulations that: <br /> <br /> i. A permanent barrier - fence or guard rail - be erected on <br />Maple Lane to prevent ail but parallel parking on Maple Lane. <br /> <br /> 2. A service entry on the West side of the property which would <br />accomodate delivery vehicles and employee vehicles, and a customer park- <br />ing area 22~x38~ with entry from Hadley St. <br /> <br /> 2. The slgn shall be mounted from the pitch of the roof and <br /> <br />shall not exceed sq. ft. thereby not obstructing visibility on the <br /> <br />"S" curve on ~aple Lane. <br /> <br /> <br />
