Economic Development/Projects Update: Manns updated the RDC that Cherry Blossom way is completed with the exception of the removal of the silt fence as well as the plantings. Banning Engineering's Dennis Nail was present to answer any questions the Commission may have. Two change orders were presented for the project. Change Order 4 for $114,350.09 for earth work is the addition referred to in Change Order 1 which was a deduct. Change Order 5 for $2,483.72 is for the addition of a dedicated left turn lane for the opposite side of Pleiades Drive (E. Charmil Drive), as now required by INDOT. Commissioner Corman made the motion to accept both change orders as presented. Commissioner Stultz seconded the motion, which passed 5-0. Commissioner Gutzwiller asked about the lighting of the new road and whether or not it was sufficient. Manns explained that it was discussed before the project started but due to the requirement of an INDOT permit and the stringent timeline for the IDGF grant, the decision was made to omit lighting initially. Manns said she would meet with Police Chief Allen and Dave Moore to discuss whether additional lighting would be required. Review of Claims: Claims for Gibraltar are still being withheld. Commissioner Carman made the motion to accept the remaining claims as presented. Commissioner Beikman seconded the motion, which passed 5-0. For the Good of the Order: Manns shared with the Commission that the work by Becker to install underdrain along SR 67 has been completed per the Contractor and that she, REA and Dave Moore will be walking the site with Becker to determine final completion. It was determined that a meeting would take place at 6:30pm on Thursday, October 13th to award the 40 West Main project. Commissioner Stultz made the motion to adjourn. 6 Cha rman ATTEST: Secretary
