Economic Development/Projects Update: Manns updated the RDC that Cherry Blossom way is <br />completed with the exception of the removal of the silt fence as well as the plantings. Banning <br />Engineering's Dennis Nail was present to answer any questions the Commission may have. Two change <br />orders were presented for the project. Change Order 4 for $114,350.09 for earth work is the addition <br />referred to in Change Order 1 which was a deduct. Change Order 5 for $2,483.72 is for the addition of a <br />dedicated left turn lane for the opposite side of Pleiades Drive (E. Charmil Drive), as now required by <br />INDOT. Commissioner Corman made the motion to accept both change orders as presented. <br />Commissioner Stultz seconded the motion, which passed 5-0. <br />Commissioner Gutzwiller asked about the lighting of the new road and whether or not it was sufficient. <br />Manns explained that it was discussed before the project started but due to the requirement of an <br />INDOT permit and the stringent timeline for the IDGF grant, the decision was made to omit lighting <br />initially. Manns said she would meet with Police Chief Allen and Dave Moore to discuss whether <br />additional lighting would be required. <br />Review of Claims: Claims for Gibraltar are still being withheld. Commissioner Carman made the motion <br />to accept the remaining claims as presented. Commissioner Beikman seconded the motion, which <br />passed 5-0. <br />For the Good of the Order: Manns shared with the Commission that the work by Becker to install <br />underdrain along SR 67 has been completed per the Contractor and that she, REA and Dave Moore will <br />be walking the site with Becker to determine final completion. <br />It was determined that a meeting would take place at 6:30pm on Thursday, October 13th to award the <br />40 West Main project. <br />Commissioner Stultz made the motion to adjourn. <br />6 <br />Cha rman <br />ATTEST: <br />Secretary <br />
