MOORESVILLE REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />MINUTES <br />THURSDAY, DECEMBER 8, 2016 <br />Members present: Harold Gutzwiller, Don Stultz, Joe Beikman, Tim Corman and Bill Boyd. Mark <br />Meadows, non-voting member from Mooresville Consolidated School board, was present. Town <br />Attorney, Tim Currens was present. Project Manager Chelsey Manns was present. <br />The bids for the Bicentennial Park were received: <br />1) Linel Signature - $399,800.00 (sculptural/flame piece) <br />2) Schutt-Lookabill - $2,797.219.60 <br />a. Alternate 1- $4,788.00 <br />b. Alternate 2 - $3,660.00 <br />3) Sunco Construction - $2,482,124.00 <br />a. Alternate 1- $10,408.00 <br />b. Alternate 2 - $4,955.00 <br />Bids were provided to Rundell Ernstberger and Associates for review. A meeting is planned for <br />December 20th at 5:00pm to discuss next steps. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Beikman and seconded by Commissioner Corman to approve the <br />executive session and public meeting minutes for November 3. The motion carried 5-0. <br />Financials were presented by email from the Clerk -Treasurer previously. Commissioner Corman made <br />the motion to accept the financials as presented. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Beikman <br />and it passed 5-0. <br />Public Comment No public comment. <br />Southbridge Crossing The lighting at Southbridge Crossing has been fixed. <br />Gateway Project Update: No update at this time. <br />Old Business: No old business. <br />New Business: The RDC was presented with a contract for services provided by Manns Consulting for <br />2017. The proposed Scope of Work would act as a Fee for Service contract, with monthly payments of <br />$3,500 for the entirety of a minimum one-year contract totaling $42,000 plus expenses. Commissioner <br />Beikman made the motion to approve the contract as presented, naming Commissioner Gutzwiller <br />signatory. Commissioner Stultz seconded the motion, which carried 5-0. <br />Legal Update: Attorney Currens presented the RDC with the bids received by the Mainstreet Committee <br />for the plaques associated with the matching grant in which the RDC is participating.
